1 · REFERRAL

Contact us completely obligation free to discuss any concerns you have regarding your child’s speech, language or communication skills. You will be offered an appointment for an initial assessment if we feel that speech pathology can benefit your child.

2 · INITIAL ASSESSMENT

Your child’s first appointment will include gathering a comprehensive case history from you and the administration of a battery of tests that are designed to assess your child’s oral and written communication skills. Test activities are delivered in a fun environment and we ensure that your child feels comfortable and relaxed throughout this first appointment. Assessment results are then communicated to you in a written report with recommendations made for intervention.

3 · INTERVENTION

Intervention or therapy will be offered if areas of need are identified during your child’s initial assessment appointment. This may take the form of regular visits to the clinic or the provision of a home and/or school programme that addresses areas of need. Your child’s progress and response to intervention will be monitored closely so that optimal results are achieved.
